Because the game thinks my headset is still plugged in. Using the same scenario if I unplug my headset go to options change from headset to speakers I get no sound at all. It is plugged into one of my front USB ports. If my headset was bothering me i could just unplug the sound cord take headset off and still hear the game thru my regular desk speakers.
Years ago I had a regular headset that plugged into the mic and speaker jack of my sound card. Not sure this is the correct forum for this but here goes.
